Job Description

As an ELA Assessment Writer, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing assessment items for a variety of topics for students at the high school level. You will work collaboratively with other content creators and subject matter experts to ensure that all assessment items are accurate, rigorous, and aligned with the latest educational standards.

This is a remote, independent contractor position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, review, and revise ELA assessment items for a variety of topics that are grade-level appropriate.
• Write straightforward and easy-to-follow specifications of each assessment item, following a template.
• Develop, source, and edit passages that are appropriate for indicated grade levels.
• Ensure that all assessment items are accurate, rigorous, and aligned with Common Core and state standards.
