What You'll Bring:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity: Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service, assist customers, clean display cases, and clean shelves. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends, and perform heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for long periods of time.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
