Under direct supervision, the Meat Cutter breaks, cuts, and prepares meat products using hand tools and power equipment, following company standards for variety, size, quantity, and trim. Meat products are prepared for display or as ordered by customers, and the role involves working with customers on special orders. Collaboration with Meat Clerks and the Meat Manager is necessary to determine which items need to be cut. The position requires the ability to perform very heavy lifting, as well as bending, standing, and stooping for prolonged periods.

The work environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store. Essential physical requirements include lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, along with visual and auditory demands.
