What You'll Bring:

Candidates should be able to:

• Read and understand simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations with customers and colleagues.
• Follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions using common sense.
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Additional Skills:

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate (a plus)

The Opportunity:

Under supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Responsibilities include assisting customers, cleaning shelves and display cases, managing meat displays, and working with customers on special orders in coordination with the Meat Cutter. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., and stand, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods.

The environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, requiring physical activity such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, along with visual and auditory attention. For accommodations, see the full job description in-store.

Certification: Food Handler Card or equivalent is required for all food-related positions.
