Candidate Requirements

• Ability to read and understand instructions, labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Effective communication skills for customer and team interactions.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally, and frequently lift 25-45 pounds.

Preferred Skills

• Basic PC/Outlook skills
• Retail Management Certificate (a plus)

Job Responsibilities

Under supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and performs various bakery tasks. Responsibilities include assisting customers, cleaning and rotating displays, handling special orders, collaborating with the Baker, and maintaining cleanliness of the department, including hosing down floors with soap and water. Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required.

Additional Information

This is an entry-level, full-time position in Management and Manufacturing within the Retail Groceries industry. The environment is fast-paced, requiring physical activity such as standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting.
