Job Details

Starting Rate: $17.30 per hour

Under direct supervision, the Meat Cutter breaks, cuts, and prepares meat products using hand tools and power equipment, according to company standards. Responsibilities include preparing meat for display or customer orders, working with customers on special orders, and collaborating with Meat Clerks and the Meat Manager to determine cutting needs. Must be able to perform very heavy lifting, and stand, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods.

The work environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store. Essential physical requirements include lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory capabilities. For more information on accommodations, refer to the complete Job Description available in-store.

Qualifications

Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions involving food preparation, handling, and serving.
