Job summary

Imperial in El Paso, TX is seeking an entry-level Food Prep Associate to join our kitchen team. You will help prepare a variety of foods, maintain sanitation, and assist with daily prep tasks during the 4pm–9pm shift.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid Food Handler’s Permit, the ability to stand for long periods, and good interpersonal skills. Reliable attendance and flexible teamwork are essential for delivering World Class service.

Responsibilities

• Produce food items such as sandwiches, burritos, salads, entrees, and more.
• Maintain sanitation of production areas and equipment.
• Assist with various food prep duties and cold beverages preparation.
• Stock and rotate products in freezers and coolers.
• Read, understand, and calculate recipes.
• Provide courteous customer service and interactions.
• Stand for long periods and maintain punctual attendance.

Shift: 4pm-9pm

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Positive attitude towards workers and customers.
• Production of food products such as sandwiches, hamburgers, burritos, salads, entrees, chili, etc.
• Sanitation of areas of production, sweeping, trash duties, tables clean, dish washing, etc.
• Perform a variety of food prep duties other than cooking, preparing cold foods, and brewing tea or coffee.
• Stocking and putting product away as ordered in the freezers and coolers.
• Read, understand, and calculate recipes.
• Customer service focused – ability to interact with customers politely and professionally.
• Stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hrs).
• Be punctual with on time regular attendance.
• Maintain a positive attitude towards workers and customers.
• Clean, well groomed, facial hair to a minimum, hair nets and gloves, washed hands.
• Stocking product, lifting, pulling, bending, stooping, standing for shift each day.
