Position Summary:

• Maintains organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Prepares all menu items following recipes and yield guides.
• Prepares and assigns production and prep work for Line Cooks, reviewing priorities.
• Communicates additions or changes to assignments throughout the shift.
• Sets up workstation with required tools, equipment, and supplies; breaks down workstations and completes closing duties at the end of the shift.
• Inspects the cleanliness and working conditions of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Informs the Sous Chef of supplies needed for the day’s tasks.
• Transports supplies from the storeroom and stocks them in designated areas.
• Starts prep work for the day’s menu items and directs Line Cooks accordingly.
• Checks POS printers; ensures they are operational and stocked with paper.
• Maintains proper storage procedures as per health and hotel requirements, following food handling guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
