Qualifications

• Associate degree or completion of 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours, or demonstrated proficiency via competency test.
• Ability to speak, read and write English and another language proficiently.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, balance, stoop, climb steps and reach overhead.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Model appropriate behaviors for students.
• Develop and maintain a professional rapport with classroom teachers and staff.
• Assist students at arrival and dismissal of school.
• Supervise students during lunch and recess periods.
• Assist with grading and reviewing homework as instructed by the teacher.
• Monitor and record student performance data.
