Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Electrician at the El Nino operations to perform electrical repairs and installations on underground and surface equipment, and to troubleshoot as needed.

Working under the Underground Electrical Supervisor, you will read complex prints, apply electrical codes, and contribute to a safety-focused, high-performing team; two years of underground electrical experience and high voltage exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years underground electrical experience preferred.
• High voltage experience preferred.
• Formal electrical training and troubleshooting background preferred.
• Ability to read complex electrical prints and understand electrical codes preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and team mindset required.
• Exemplary safety performance and attendance record required.
• Ability to perform physical labor under all weather conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of the job.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform electrical repairs on underground and surface equipment.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, the Underground Electrician is responsible for the following:

• Required to troubleshoot and perform all electrical repairs as required on underground and surface equipment, as well as stationary equipment
• New electrical installations as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Two (2) years underground electrical experience preferred
• High voltage experience preferred
• Formal electrical training and troubleshooting background preferred
• Ability to read complex prints and a good understanding of electrical codes preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proven track record of being a team player required
• Exemplary safety performance and attendance record required
• Ability to accomplish physical labor under all weather conditions required
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required
• Working shifts is a requirement for this position
