Position Summary

A Kindergarten teacher is highly qualified and an Indiana State certified teacher with a Kindergarten Endorsement responsible for delivering the Common Core State Standards and the SBCSC curriculum in a differentiated, general education learning environment.

Position Details

Position Title: EL Kindergarten Teacher

Immediate Supervisor: Building Principal

Responsibilities

• Implement the kindergarten curriculum, following corporation-provided instructional resources.
• Plan lessons, provide instruction, support, and guidance; manage the learning process; assess student growth; and address students' individual needs.
• Maintain a safe classroom environment and appropriate classroom management.
• Make parent contact as necessary to support each child's learning.
• Complete and maintain all required student records.
• Utilize SBCSC technology as required.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage students.
• Structure the classroom environment to maintain student interest and engagement.
• Participate in staff meetings and staff development; collaborate with the grade level team.

Qualifications

Licensed with Kindergarten Endorsement and Highly Qualified.
