About The El Jefe Cashier

As an El Jefe Cashier, you will be the face of our brand, greeting guests with enthusiasm and helping them enjoy a seamless, positive dining experience. You will process transactions, assist with food orders, and maintain a clean and organized environment. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, be detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.

What You'll Do

1. Welcome Guests with Enthusiasm: Greet every guest warmly and help create a memorable experience from the moment they walk up.
2. Process Orders and Transactions: Efficiently handle cash and card payments while ensuring accurate order processing.
3. Maintain a Clean, Safe Environment: Follow food safety guidelines, keep the work area organized, and ensure the cashier station is clean and well-stocked.
4. Assist with Guest Needs: Support guests with their orders and ensure they have everything they need for a great experience.
5. Collaborate with the Team: Work with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure a smooth, efficient operation.

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
• Must be able to lift, handle, carry food, supply, equipment, supplies and paper goods at a minimum of 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently to receive and store stock, supplies and equipment and to work the line during service periods.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, employees, vendors, and guests.

Skills/Qualifications

• Previous experience of a Food Expeditor or similar entry-level role in a restaurant.
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills are critical for success.

Expected Hours Of Work

Open availability with 2 out of the 3 weekend days available.
