Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Pay Range: $20.00 – $30.00

Listed wages are based on company-wide ranges. Actual earnings will vary based on factors such as: restaurant brand, experience, education, geography, applicable minimum wage, unit volume(s), hours worked & potential overtime pay.

Position Purpose

Take guest orders in a friendly and courteous manner and accept payment from guests.

Placement in the Organization

Reports to Assistant and General Manager.

Responsibilities/Duties/Activities
  • Follow company food handling and safety procedures.
  • Count cash before and after working the register.
  • Recognize, greet, take guest orders, and use suggestive and/or upselling techniques for every order.
  • Use Micro's system to enter orders, correct mistakes, and communicate with the manager when voids or problems occur.
  • Collect payment, give correct change, and provide receipts.
  • Point out beverage and salsa bar, thank guests, and give proper departing comments.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by quickly correcting mistakes and answering questions.
  • Maintain proper flow of orders at drive-thru.
  • Use wireless or intercom systems to communicate with guests at the drive-thru.
  • Work at a pace that enables the drive-thru team to meet or exceed service time standards.
  • Handle cash properly, including shortages and overages.
  • Clean and sanitize the work area regularly.
  • Assist expediter and/or service assistant as needed.
  • Assist in training new cashiers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualification Standards
  • Meet health regulation standards related to food handling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Observe and ensure product presentation meets standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Reaching, bending, stooping, scrubbing, lifting, and wiping.
  • High mobility and flexibility.

  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors.
