Position Purpose

Takes guest's order in a friendly and courteous manner and accepts payment from guests.

Placement In The Organization

Reports to Assistant and General Manager.

Responsibilities/Duties/Activities
  • Follows company food handling and safety procedures.
  • Counts cash before and after working register.
  • Recognizes, greets, takes guest order, and uses suggestive and/or upselling techniques for every order.
  • Uses Micro's system to enter orders, correct mistakes; communicates to manager when void occurs or problems arise.
  • Collects payment, gives guest correct change.
  • Provides receipt, points out beverage and salsa bar, thanks guest, and offers proper departing comments.
  • Ensures total guest satisfaction by promptly correcting mistakes and answering questions.
  • Maintains proper flow of orders at drive-thru window.
  • Uses wireless or intercom communication system to communicate with guests (drive-thru).
  • Works at a pace that enables the drive-thru team to meet or exceed service time standards.
  • Handles cash responsibly, managing shortages and overages.
  • Cleans and sanitizes the work area regularly.
  • Assists expediter and/or service assistant as needed.
  • Helps train new cashiers.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualification Standards
  • Meets government regulations regarding food handling and health risks.
  • Can communicate effectively with guests.
  • Possesses basic math skills.
  • Observes and ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Reaches, bends, stoops, scrubs, lifts, and wipes.
  • Must have high mobility and flexibility.
  • Capable of working under heavy stress during peak times.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors.
  • Requires continuous standing and walking.
