Job Summary and Qualifications

Our cardiovascular services teams are caring individuals committed to providing the highest quality care. We are looking for a new EKG Technician. Our EKG or Stress Tech will perform standard EKG, EEG, Holter Monitor, stress testing, and non-invasive vascular procedures. You will maintain department and patient records and provide direct patient care to patients of all ages.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Interprets rhythms and arrhythmias.
• Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
• Maintains telemetry supplies and equipment.
• Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Performs duties with full understanding of related age-specific factors.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications:

• High school or GED.
• Successful completion of a 16-hour EKG course within 90 days of employment.
• 1 year experience required; hospital setting preferred.
• BLS (American Heart Association).
• Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds.
