Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Cardiac Technician to assist a trained cardiology attending during all procedures, including stress testing, Holter application/removal, Holter scanning and ECG. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and have completed a cardiac technical program; completion of a cardiac arrhythmia course within 90 days of hire is required.

The Cardiac Technician assists a trained, credentialed cardiology attending during all procedures. He/she is responsible for accurately performing the following procedures: all forms of stress testing, Holter application and removal, Holter scanning and ECG.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.

• Graduate of a cardiac technical program or equivalent.

• Satisfactory completion of cardiac arrythmia course within 90 days of hire.

• Satisfactory completion of cardiac arrhythmia course.

• Basic understanding of cardiac disease and advanced understanding of arrhythmias.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• 1 year of prior experience in non-invasive cardiac procedures.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.

Minimum rate of $25.77 Hourly
