Job summary

Ochsner is seeking an EKG technician to provide direct patient care through 12-lead EKG testing, ensure equipment readiness, and support documentation and patient education. Candidates must have a high school diploma and BLS certification is preferred, with CCT favored.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to handle flexible scheduling, including nights or weekends as needed.

This job provides individualized, direct patient care of assigned patients by performing quality 12 Lead electrocardiograph (EKG) tests. Maintains the cleanliness and maintenance of EKG equipment. Performs all clerical duties dictated by leadership. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education

• Required - High school diploma or equivalent.

Certifications

• Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred - Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT).
