Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant/clinical partner to support cardiology data acquisition, EKG application, and monitoring. You will assist with stress echo and nuclear stress testing under nurse supervision, and ensure accurate billing for completed procedures.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years in a cardiology setting, BLS certification, and strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience in a cardiology setting as MA/CTA/PCA preferred.
• Must have BLS certification.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to monitor vital signs.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Assists in the acquisition of data by performing EKG, and with application of holter/event monitors independently; including explanation of test, application of electrodes using accepted techniques and placement.
• Assists with stress echo and nuclear stress testing according to hospital and departmental policy under the direct supervision of a nurse.
• Properly bills for completed procedures

Education

• High School Equivalent / GED (Required)

Work Experience

• 1+ years Of experience as a MA, PCA, CTA or clinical partner in a cardiology setting (Preferred)
