CoxHealth is seeking an EKG Technician II in Springfield, Missouri to independently perform electrocardiogram procedures under physician supervision, using established protocols to ensure accurate data while prioritizing patient welfare and confidentiality.

You'll operate the ECG equipment, Holter monitors, and stress-testing tools, and contribute to high-quality cardiovascular care as part of a patient‑centered team.

Qualifications

• Completion of the EKG Technician II Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred experience in EKG or related healthcare roles.
• Typing and computer skills with good interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrocardiogram procedures under supervision or independently as appropriate.
• Operate ECG equipment including holter monitors and stress testing devices.
• Maintain patient welfare, confidentiality and comfort during procedures.

Job Description

Independently, or under the direct supervision of a physician, performs electrocardiogram procedures consistent with the established standard of medical care, following policies and protocols using established anatomical positioning and physiology to produce optimum electrocardiographic data, while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality and comfort a top priority. EKG Technician II is responsible for the operation of electrocardiographic equipment including the electrocardiograph, 24/48 hour holter monitors, PowerChart Cardiovascular, and stress electrocardiographic equipment.

Education

• Required: Completion of the EKG Technician II Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire

Experience

• Preferred: EKG or related healthcare experience
