Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Performs 12 lead ECGs, cardiac stress testing, applies Holter Monitors and Event Monitors for inpatients and outpatients, and manages clinical data in the MUSE system. Records, archives, corrects, and processes ECG reports.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provides timely, high-quality diagnostic testing such as ECGs, Holter Monitors, and Event Monitors accurately and efficiently according to established guidelines. (40%)
  2. Performs ECG Management System (MUSE) functions and related clerical duties. (30%)
  3. Maintains testing equipment and department in clean operating condition. (10%)
  4. Maintains organized and complete documentation of clinical data for all procedures, ensuring the availability of complete electronic files for physician review. (20%)
  5. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful completion of ECG interpretation coursework.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ECG testing.
