Job summary

Qualifications

• Performs EKGs and ambulatory monitor applications.
• Explains procedures and assists patients to obtain high-quality examinations.
• Operates and maintains ECG equipment daily.
• Enters exam information into hospital computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Takes EKG equipment to patient rooms, explains the procedure and assists the patient as required to obtain a high quality examination.
• Performs examinations as outlined in Compliance 360.
• Receives computerized requests for procedures; retrieves old records for comparative interpretation.
• Enters all required information into the computer relative to the examination.
• Tests equipment daily and reports any defect to the Cardiology Manager.
• Assists in Quality Assurance activities as directed by the manager.
• Participates in training program within the department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Performs regular EKG’s, applies Ambulatory Monitors and completes any office duties that are relative to the examinations performed within the department or other duties relative to the department operation.
