Job summary

CHI Mercy Health is seeking an EKG Technician to perform diagnostic electrocardiograms (EKGs) and support cardiac diagnostics in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, and operate EKG machines to record heart activity with accuracy and compassion.

You will work with 12-lead ECGs, event and Holter monitoring, and ensure equipment and documentation are properly managed, contributing to high-quality readings and patient comfort at CHI Mercy Health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• AHA BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.
• Ability to operate EKG machines accurately.

Responsibilities

• Performs EKG exams in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Utilizes 12-Lead Electrocardiograms including set-up and paperwork.
• Performs event monitor transmissions.
• Performs event and Holter monitor applications.
• Clears and cleans patient monitors and cables after use.
