East Jefferson General Hospital in Louisiana is seeking an EKG Technician responsible for performing all 12-lead electrocardiograms and rhythm strips on patients across the hospital. You will obtain two high-quality traces per patient, recognize changes from prior tracings and report life-threatening arrhythmias, and carry out clerical tasks to maintain the EKG record according to department policies.

Your job is more than a job. The EKG Technician is responsible for performing all 12 lead electrocardiograms and/or rhythm strip on patients across the hospital. Responsible for obtaining two high quality traces on each patient for better clarity. Recognizes and reports changes from previous EKG tracings as well as any life‑threatening arrhythmias. Performs clerical functions necessary for maintenance of the EKG record according to the established policies of the department and LCMC Health.
High School Diploma/GED or EKG program completion certificate OR 2 years of work experience.
