LCMC Health is hiring a Laboratory Assistant to support medical technologists in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will collect, label, process, and transport specimens, ensure proper documentation in the LIS, and assist with routine laboratory testing.
The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (or 1 year related experience) and American Heart Association BLS certification. Duties include clerical tasks, inventory checks, and adherence to confidentiality and safety

As a Laboratory Assistant working under the direct supervision of medical practitioners or laboratory personnel in both an inpatient or an outpatient setting, you collect blood specimens, label specimens labeling, preserve, process, transport and store to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. And while you don’t know your patients personally, you understand that you’re helping real people who need your help to just feel better. You’re up for the challenge and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, sometimes under pressure, but always remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with professionalism and confidentiality.
