ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified EK/Kindergarten Teacher at Northwest School of the Arts in Cleveland, Ohio dedicated to providing a superior education for all students for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. We are seeking teachers who are passionate and dedicated to bringing the curriculum to life for each student. About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities of the Teacher include:

  1. Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
  2. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  3. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
  4. Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
  5. Manage student behavior in the classroom.
  6. Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
  7. Utilize school approved curricula that reflects the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students.
  8. Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms.
  9. Communicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
  10. Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning.
  11. Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed.
  12. Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

About You:

  1. Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
  3. High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Ability to properly manage confidential information.
  6. Able to supervise students of various ages in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.).
  7. Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  8. Experience working within an urban environment.
