Job summary

Golden Valley Electric Association is seeking a Full Time Electrical Instrumentation and Control Technician for our Healy, Alaska facility. The role focuses on maintenance of coal-fired plant controls and instrumentation, including motors, UPS, battery systems, and DCS/PLCs, onsite at our facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five years industrial instrumentation/control experience.
• Demonstrated equipment calibration experience.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining DCS/PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain preventive and corrective maintenance of plant instrumentation and controls.
• Inspect, repair and calibrate DCS/PLCs and related instrumentation.
• Assist with boiler and plant control loop tuning and overall efficiency.
