Job summary

Golden Valley Electric Association is seeking a Full Time Electrical Instrumentation and Control (EI&C) Technician in Healy, Alaska. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and control systems at our coal-fired plant, including DCS/PLC workflows, calibration, and system tuning.

You will work onsite, leveraging five years of experience and a strong troubleshooting mindset to ensure reliable plant operation and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum of five years industrial instrumentation/control experience.
• Demonstrated equipment calibration experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain coal-fired power plant controls and instrumentation.
• Inspect, repair, and calibrate DCS and PLC systems.
• Calibrate plant instrumentation and controllers.
• Assist with boiler and plant control loop tuning.
