Job summary

ERM is hiring an EHS Waste and Wastewater Coordinator to work onsite at two facilities in Lebanon, IN. The role supports wastewater management by coordinating approvals, ensuring sampling, and preparing information for planned discharge events.

It is a 12-month, full-time position with potential extension. Responsibilities include coordinating sampling, reporting, and approvals; inspecting activities for compliance; assisting with regulatory documentation; and supporting EHS and safety

Qualifications

  • A.S. or B.S. degree in related technical field desired but not required.
  • 5+ years of directly related wastewater experience in chemical or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Ability and knowledge in wastewater and NPDES discharge coordination.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel and E-mail for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with wastewater technicians for sampling, recordkeeping and reporting (discharge monitoring reports).
  • Assist in obtaining discharges approvals based on samples and planned discharge quantities.
  • Inspect wastewater activities to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Support plant personnel to ensure timely sampling and regulatory discharge approvals; address field questions and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist EHS Manager with discharge requests and documentation.
  • Support the plant Health and Safety objectives.

The primary function of this role is to support the client’s wastewater management systems by coordinating, conducting and tracking regulatory approvals, confirm sampling has been performed by various internal groups, and that the information and approvals are ready in time for planned discharge events, as required compliance activities. This person will support facility technicians to ensure compliance with these wastewater aspects of the facility’s compliance program. This is a **full-time (40 hours per week)** limited-term role with a duration of 12 months, extendable. **RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Coordinate with wastewater technicians for activities related to wastewater sampling, recordkeeping, and reporting (discharge monitoring reports).
