The EHS Learning leader has primary responsibility for developing and facilitating world-class EHS Learning solutions for GE Vernova. This person will own the set of GE Vernova EHS training courses that are used across the company, both e-learning and classroom. He/she will develop, maintain, and update the EHS learning content by engaging subject matter experts from the different business as well as third parties. The individual will partner with the different businesses training teams and external providers to lead and facilitate both classroom and virtual EHS course classes, Train-the-Trainer sessions, as well as support the business EHS teams to implement EHS training that is practical, effective, and engaging.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop the EHS Learning strategy for a standalone GE Vernova to assure regulatory compliance, maximize learning impact, and drive standardization and efficiency in content development and delivery.
  • Manage strategic external contractors to maximize value and deliver efficiency in course content development.
  • Lead the EHS training program and tool utilization globally, coordinating cross-functionally to drive consistent application and implementation across the businesses.
  • Lead the development of EHS leadership training, that enables world-class EHS leadership competency for front line and operational leaders across GE Vernova.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of EHS topics, regulation, and corporate/business EHS policies and procedures and update and maintain EHS Training programs, accordingly.
  • Manage classroom (instructor led and virtual) course content development for GE Vernova.
  • Apply learning design principles in the development of new courseware.
  • Drive innovation and excellence with the development and incorporation of new learning technologies in the adult learning setting.
  • Coordinate when required “train-the-trainer” programs in a variety of formats: classroom and virtual sessions, using simultaneous translators, etc.
  • Qualify and maintain approved EHS instructors per topic areas, globally.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in environmental science, geology, engineering, communications, adult learning,and teaching principles, or equivalent.
  • Experience as a trainer (preferable with train the trainer concepts)
  • Experience in EHS Training at fixed facilities &/or field services businesses
  • Fluent in English
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training to global audiences & in a multi-lingual environment.
  • Comfortable teaching in front of larger and small audiences.
  • Able to clearly communicate complex technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing and speaking. The role holder must have the ability to communicate easily with and be able to relate to people at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience with EHS regulations and environmental due diligence standards.

The salary range for this position is $130K to $170K . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
