Job summary

Morgan Truck Body is seeking an EHS Technician in Morgantown, PA to partner with the EHS Manager and site leaders. You will support EHS programs, promote safe work practices, maintain compliance, and help create a safer workplace daily.

The role covers incident investigations, audits, training, recordkeeping, and hazard prevention, with strong emphasis on accuracy and teamwork across production and office environments.

Qualifications

• OSHA standards knowledge and manufacturing safety practices preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and data management for safety records.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintain EHS records, compliance systems, and safety metrics.
• Assist with audits, LOTO, machine guarding, and electrical safety requirements.
• Support EHS policies, training, and new-hire orientation.
• Assist with hazard identification, PPE assessments, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with teams to address safety concerns and improve performance.
• Manage hazardous waste in line with regulations and company procedures.
• Provide admin and project support to the EHS Manager.

Join our team as an EHS Technician and help make safety part of everything we do. Partner with the EHS Manager, site leaders, and team members to support EHS programs, promote safe work practices, maintain compliance, and help create a safer workplace every day.

What a Day in Your Life Looks Like:

• Incident Investigation: Support accident and injury investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Compliance & Reporting: Maintain EHS records, compliance systems, and key safety metrics to support accurate reporting and regulatory readiness.
• Audits & Assessments: Support workplace audits covering LOTO, machine guarding, hot work, electrical safety, waste, stormwater, and OSHA/EPA requirements.
• EHS Programs & Training: Support safety policies, procedures, communications, training, new-hire orientation, and other EHS initiatives.
• Hazard Prevention: Assist with JSAs, PPE assessments, and corrective actions to identify and reduce workplace hazards.
• Employee Engagement: Partner with team members, leadership, vendors, and contractors to address safety concerns and strengthen safety performance.
• Handle with care - manage hazardous waste in line with regulations and company procedures
• EHS Support: Provide administrative and project support to the EHS Manager and perform other EHS-related duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table:

• EHS Knowledge: Working knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and manufacturing safety practices preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using databases and computerized systems.
• Communication & Organization: Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Initiative: Self-motivated and able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results.
• Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred, with 0–3 years of manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, safety, or related experience.
• Professional Development: Willingness to pursue relevant EHS certifications, including OSHA 501, ASP, CSP, CIH, or other certifications required for the role.

Physical Requirements:

• This position works in a fast-paced manufacturing / office environment where communication, collaboration, and visibility on the production floor are essential. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and use of hands are required throughout the workday. The role occasionally requires lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 35 pounds, as well as gearing up with safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection to stay secure.
