Why Join Us | DuPont Careers The Safety & Health Lead Technician supports occupational health, safety, facilities, and operations teams by identifying, evaluating, and helping control workplace hazards. This hands‑on role conducts exposure monitoring, industrial hygiene assessments, equipment checks, and compliance documentation to help maintain a safe, healthy, and reliable work environment.
Key Responsibilities Conduct workplace exposure assessments for chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic, noise, heat stress, and radiation‑related hazards. Perform personal and area monitoring, including air sampling, noise surveys, respirator fit testing, and equipment inspections. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial hygiene and safety monitoring equipment. Support occupational health programs, including medical surveillance coordination, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and exposure‑related follow‑up. Partner with Safety, Occupational Health, Facilities, Operations, Maintenance, and contractor teams to identify risks and implement practical controls. Maintain accurate compliance records, monitoring data, calibration logs, fit test documentation, and regulatory support files. Prepare clear reports summarizing monitoring results, trends, corrective actions, and exposure assessment findings. Support audits, inspections, investigations, and continuous improvement efforts aligned with OSHA, state, and company EHS requirements.
Required Associates degree, Industrial Hygiene or Occupational Health & Safety Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, facilities, operations, maintenance, or a related technical environment. Ability to conduct field monitoring, use technical instruments, document findings, and communicate results clearly. Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and ability to collaborate across site teams in a fast‑paced operational setting.
