Job summary

Chromalloy in Phoenix is seeking an experienced EHS professional to support the Environmental, Health, and Safety program under the EHS Manager.

You will facilitate safety, industrial hygiene, environmental and medical programs, educate staff on regulatory requirements, and help ensure full compliance with permits and standards.

Qualifications include 3+ years of EHS experience, an AA degree or equivalent, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; VelocityEHS experience a plus.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Safety/Engineering.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

  • Assist in facilitating the implementation of EHS systems including Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental and Medical programs.
  • Educate personnel to ensure compliance with EHS regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Oversee the wastewater process for full compliance with applicable discharge permits.
  • Assess risk associated with manufacturing processes and act to minimize risks.
  • Develop and update EHS written programs and safe work instructions.
  • Manage Job Observation/Behavior Based Programs
  • Identify hazard assessments and manage to closure

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager,serve as a resource to the organization in the development and implementation of a world class EHS program.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist in facilitating the implementation of EHS systems including Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental and Medical programs.
  • Educate personnel to ensure compliance with EHS regulatory requirements and standards
  • Oversee the wastewater process for full compliance with applicable discharge permits
  • Assess risk associated with manufacturing processes and act to minimize risks
  • Assist in defining, obtaining, and coordinating necessary EHS reports, permits, communications and EHS self-assessments for the location
  • Develop and update EHS written programs and safe work instructions
  • Assist in coordinating fire drills and other emergency response
  • Update health and safety posting and bulletin boards
  • Develop and facilitate EHS training
  • Using VelocityEHS, manage and analyze incident data
  • Complete Health and Safety audits and inspections
  • Manage Job Observation/Behavior Based Programs
  • Identify hazard assessments and manage to closure
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations and identify corrective actions
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred: Associate's science degree (AA) or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Safety/Engineering; or equivalent verifiable experience.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience related to manufacturing and repair operations.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft software including Excel, Power Point & Word.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
