Job summary

Responsibilities include educating staff on regulatory requirements, managing hazardous processes, and driving continuous safety improvements across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Safety/Engineering or equivalent verifiable experience.
• 3+ years of EHS experience related to manufacturing and repair operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of EHS systems including Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental and Medical programs.
• Educate personnel to ensure compliance with EHS regulatory requirements and standards.
• Oversee wastewater process for compliance with discharge permits.
• Assess risk in manufacturing processes and implement risk mitigation.
• Coordinate EHS reports, permits, communications and self-assessments for the location.

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager,serve as a resource to the organization in the developmentand implementationof a world class EHS program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in facilitating the implementation of EHS systems including Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental and Medical programs.
• Educate personnel to ensure compliance with EHS regulatory requirements and standards
• Overseethe wastewaterprocessfor full compliance withapplicabledischarge permits
• Assess risk associated with manufacturing processes and act to minimize risks
• Assistin defining, obtaining, and coordinating necessary EHS reports, permits, communications and EHS self-assessments for the location
• Develop and update EHS written programs and safe work instructions
• Assistin coordinating fire drills and other emergencyresponse
• Update health and safety posting and bulletin boards
• Develop and facilitate EHS training
• UsingVelocityEHS, manage and analyze incident data
• Complete Health and Safety audits and inspections
• Manage Job Observation/Behavior Based Programs
• Identifyhazard assessmentsand manage to closure
• Conduct ergonomicevaluations andidentifycorrective actions

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred: Associate's science degree (AA) or equivalent in Environmental, Health and Safety/Engineering;or equivalent verifiable experience.
• 3+ years of EHS experience related to manufacturing and repair operations.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint& Word.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
