Position Summary
The EHS Technician will support EHS programs by assisting with inspections, incident investigations, compliance tracking, and safety initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in OSHA compliance, hazard identification, and safety systems, while leveraging AI tools (Microsoft Copilot & Teams) to improve reporting and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Inspections & Hazard Control
- Conduct routine safety audits and identify workplace hazards
- Recommend corrective actions and support hazard control programs
- Assist with equipment and facility inspections
Incident Investigation & Reporting
- Assist with investigation of injuries, near misses, and environmental incidents
- Help document root causes and track corrective actions
- Support preparation of incident reports and summaries
OSHA & Compliance Support
- Assist with OSHA recordkeeping (OSHA 300/300A logs)
- Maintain SDS and safety documentation
- Support internal audits and regulatory compliance activities
Training & Safety Culture
- Assist with new hire safety onboarding and training sessions
- Develop toolbox talks and safety communications
- Participate in safety committee initiatives and program rollouts
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Track safety metrics (inspections, incidents, training completion)
- Analyze trends and identify improvement opportunities
- Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Environmental & EHS Program Support
- Assist with environmental compliance and documentation
- Support safety and sustainability initiatives across operations
AI-ENABLED EXPERIENCE
- Use Microsoft Copilot to generate reports, analyze trends, and create safety communications
- Support Teams-based tracking for inspections, observations, and reporting
- Assist in building AI-driven dashboards and digital safety workflows
- Gain modern, in-demand experience using AI in EHS programs
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma OR pursuing degree in an EHS/business-related field
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams); AI tools a plus
- Interest manufacturing and workplace safety
