Job summary

DuPont is seeking a Safety & Health Lead Technician to support occupational health, safety, facilities, and operations teams by identifying and controlling workplace hazards through exposure monitoring, assessments, and compliance documentation.

This hands-on role conducts monitoring, calibrates equipment, supports health programs, and collaborates across site teams to implement practical safety controls and maintain a safe, healthy work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, facilities, operations, maintenance, or a related technical environment.
  • Ability to conduct field monitoring, use technical instruments, document findings, and communicate results clearly.
  • Experience with exposure monitoring and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and collaboration across site teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct workplace exposure assessments for chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic, noise, heat stress, and radiation-related hazards.
  • Perform personal and area monitoring, including air sampling, noise surveys, respirator fit testing, and equipment inspections.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial hygiene and safety monitoring equipment.
  • Support occupational health programs, including medical surveillance coordination, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and exposure-related follow-up.
  • Partner with Safety, Occupational Health, Facilities, Operations, Maintenance, and contractor teams to identify risks and implement practical controls.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, monitoring data, calibration logs, fit test documentation, and regulatory support files.
  • Prepare clear reports summarizing monitoring results, trends, corrective actions, and exposure assessment findings.
  • Support audits, inspections, investigations, and continuous improvement efforts aligned with OSHA, state, and company EHS requirements.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Required Associates degree or higher, Industrial Hygiene or Occupational Health & Safety is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, facilities, operations, maintenance, or a related technical environment.
  • Ability to conduct field monitoring, use technical instruments, document findings, and communicate results clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and ability to collaborate across site teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Experience with exposure monitoring, respirator fit testing, hearing conservation, radiation safety, or regulatory compliance.
