Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Operations Engineer to support the environmental health and safety department across sites. You will lead a team of operations engineers, develop dashboards, and manage data-driven safety initiatives.

You will collaborate with software teams and contractors to improve applications, train staff, and deliver metric reports. Travel to U.S. SpaceX sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 5+ years in data analytics, EHS project management, or EHS coordination.
• Experience developing dashboards and data visualization for safety and environmental metrics.
• Ability to train users and lead cross-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement dashboards and tools for the EHS department.
• Analyze data on environmental monitoring, incident reports, and safety performance.
• Collaborate with sites to solicit feedback on systems.
• Provide training on safety applications and visualization platforms.
• Lead software development projects and work with contractors.
• Produce metric reports on demand.
• Identify operational challenges, define root cause, and implement solutions.
• Communicate with engineers and leadership across the organization.
• Lead and staff the operations engineers team; prioritize and review work.
• Manage hiring processes for operations engineers.
• Ensure redundancy and unblock blockers for consistent support.
• Manage projects and relationships with software partners.
