Job summary

J.M. Huber Corporation seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support the Attapulgite Operations in Quincy, FL and Climax, GA. This role leads all EHS programs, regulatory compliance, training, and incident investigations to foster a safe, sustainable workplace.

The position partners with site operations and corporate EHS leadership to manage risk, monitor performance, and ensure MSHA/OSHA compliance across sites, with a market-based salary and robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in mining/manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of MSHA standards and DOT.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• EHS certifications helpful (CSP, CMSP, ASP, OHST, MSHA Instructor, 30-hour OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental, health & safety programs for Quincy, FL and Climax, GA.
• Ensure MSHA, OSHA, and environmental permitting compliance.
• Oversee training, incident investigations, and regulatory reporting.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and engineering to reduce risk.
• Audit facilities and respond to regulatory inspections.
• Maintain and improve EHS dashboards and action trackers.
