Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an EHS Specialist in Austin, TX to uphold environmental, health, and safety requirements across labs, data environments, and office spaces. Responsibilities include battery, e-waste, and hazardous waste management, chemical inventories, ventilation checks, and compliance audits.

The role emphasizes documentation, communication with the EHS Engineer, and coordinating shipments.

Qualifications

• High School graduate, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years EHS experience.
• Flexibility to work overtime and all assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays, and serve on an on-call basis.
• Must be able to use personal computers/MS Office experience required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect site for batteries, electronic waste, and hazardous waste and coordinate shipments.
• Perform monthly indoor EHS inspections and lab safety checks (UPS room, fire extinguishers, eye washes, AED).
• Submit documentation to onsite EHS Engineer and maintain compliance records.
• Support labs with waste disposal, ventilation surveys, energy metrics, and inventory tasks.
