Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in EHS or related discipline and 3+ years in the field, with preferred mastery of advanced certifications and industry training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, health and safety or related discipline.
  • 3+ years in the environmental, health and safety field with demonstrated ability to assume increasing responsibility.
  • Master's degree in environmental, health and safety or related discipline.
  • Professionally recognized safety or environmental certification (ASP, GSP, CSP, ASHM, CSMP, CSHM, CIH).
  • RCRA Hazardous Waste Management training in accordance with 40 CFR 262.36.
  • DOT Training in accordance with 49 CFR 172.700-704.
  • 40 hour initial and 8-hour refresher training in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120 (HAZWOPER).
  • ISO 14001 experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Benchmark Gensuite, HumanTech, and/or other EHS-related software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development, documentation, improvement, and audit of facility environmental, health and safety systems and to assure conformance and effectiveness.
  • Determine facility environmental, safety and health requirements and analyze for compatibility with corporate practices.
  • Maintain facility environmental, health, and safety image through interface with appropriate personnel to clarify environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Resolve environmental, health and safety issues in a professional, timely, and effective manner.
  • Complete EHS-related training of personnel and develop appropriate training materials.
  • Lead activities in support of Kaizen, Safety Star Point Teams, Emergency Response Teams, Carbon Reduction Teams and other project teams.
  • Complete industrial hygiene air sampling per matrix or as needed.
  • Investigate emergency spill response and incident.
  • Compliance monitoring of safety and environmental regulations
  • Assist with government required recordkeeping and reporting.
