Job summary

BearCat Manufacturing in Wickenburg, AZ, is seeking an EHS Specialist to support our manufacturing operations by maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace. You will partner with site leadership and cross‑functional teams to implement EHS programs, reduce risk, and promote a strong safety culture.

A Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field and 1–3 years of experience are required; certifications such as HAZWOPER, LEAN, Confined Space, Lockout Tagout are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Environmental Science, Occupational Health or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in EHS roles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Experience with hazard recognition, behavioral-based safety, and job hazard analysis preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications such as HAZWOPER, LEAN, Confined Space, Lockout Tagout, Train the Trainer are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
  • Support hazard assessments and help teams identify and reduce workplace risks.
  • Deliver and coordinate safety training (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, HAZCOM, Emergency Response, Fire Safety).
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct routine inspections and support environmental programs (SWPPP, SPCC, air emissions, hazardous materials).
  • Assist with sustainability initiatives focused on waste and energy reduction.
  • Maintain emergency response plans and participate in drills.
  • Promote employee engagement and accountability around safety practices.
  • Keep accurate records for EHS activities, OSHA logs, inspections, and training.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to integrate safety into daily work.
