Job summary

Avancez Assembly is seeking an EHS Specialist to lead environmental, health, and safety efforts in a manufacturing setting. You will guide compliance, conduct trainings, and drive continuous improvement across safety programs and environmental initiatives.

The role requires 3+ years in related fields or automotive manufacturing, excellent communication, and strong teamwork. Travel is minimal and the company emphasizes a people-first culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or technical certifications in related field preferred not required.
  • Experience: 3+ years' experience in related field and/or automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to understand Environmental and Safety standards.
  • Good communication skills including writing and speaking.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate environmental, health, and safety activities through leadership and communication.
  • Coordinate and provide environmental health and safety training for team members.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and environmental health safety training.
  • Investigate work-related injuries/illnesses and develop countermeasures to improve safety.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, state and local regulations.
  • Lead the Safety Team and coordinate actions and accountability.
  • Conduct routine safety observation tours with follow-up.
  • Coordinate emergency evacuation procedures, training, and drills.
  • Coordinate chemical awareness training and monitoring.
  • Environmental reporting on land, air, water, hazardous waste.
  • Manage pollution prevention and hazardous waste programs.
  • Coordinate recycling of recyclable scrap; serve as ISO 14000 MR.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EHS SPECIALIST
Job Summary

EHS Specialist is responsible for managing environmental, health, and safety activities and provide technical guidance to improve workplace safety conditions and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Coordinate environmental, health, and safety activities through strong leadership and communication.
  • Coordinate and provide environmental health and safety training for team members.
  • Conduct new hire orientation provide environmental health safety training.
  • Investigate work related injuries and/or illnesses, provide statistical analysis, and assist in the development of effective health and safety countermeasures to continuously improve safety objectives.
  • Ensure legislative compliance with Federal, state and local regulations.
  • Lead the Safety Team and help to coordinate activities, recommendations, and accountability of issues identified by the team.
  • Conduct routine safety observation tours, with effective follow-up.
  • Coordinate emergency evacuation procedures, training, and practice drills.
  • Coordinate chemical awareness training and monitor on a continuous basis.
  • Environmental Responsibilities (as required) - ensure all environmental reports are submitted accurately and on time pertaining to areas such as: land; air; water and hazardous waste.
  • Manage pollution prevention program according to local regulations
  • Coordinate and manage hazardous waste program.
  • Coordinate recycling efforts of all recyclable scrap.
  • Serve as the ISO 14000 Management Representative.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or technical certifications in related field preferred not required.
  • Experience: 3+ years' experience in related field and/or automotive manufacturing environment.
Travel
  • Travel Required: minimum
