Job summary

Avangrid Power is seeking an EHS Specialist to support environmental compliance, health and safety for field operations, training, and engineering teams. The role reports to the Health & Safety Manager within the AVANGRID Corporate P&O Group.

The position involves hazard identification, collaborating with plant personnel to mitigate risks through engineering controls and PPE, and aiding Plant Managers with planning and execution of safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with environmental health and safety programs is preferred.
• Ability to identify hazards and implement risk controls.
• Strong communication and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist plants in identifying hazards and propose risk reduction measures.
• Recommend engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE as needed.
• Support planning and execution of health, safety and environmental initiatives.

Job description

The base salary for this position is dependent upon experience and location. Location: Texas - Remote - Field Salary Range: $47.00 to $52.75 hourly DOE

Job Summary

Avangrid Power is seeking an EHS Specialist. This position supports the environmental compliance, health & safety needs of field operations, training, engineering and senior leadership. This position reports to the Avangrid Power Health & Safety Manager, as part of the Health and Safety Department within the AVANGRID Corporate P&O Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist plants in identifying hazards and demonstrates methods and solutions to mitigate hazards (including ergonomic hazards) during the performance of maintenance activities.
• This includes working side by side with plant personnel and recommending risk reduction activities such as: engineering controls, administrative controls, and/or PPE.
