Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking an EHS Specialist to contribute to and oversee the health, safety, environment and energy programs within a manufacturing setting in North Carolina. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in health and safety, knowledge of OSHA standards, and experience in an industrial environment, with a willingness to work onsite at the plant.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Contribute to the formation of one or more elements of functional strategy through specialistexpertise and insights, to ensure that the strategy meets business needs.

Health, Safety, and Environment

Follow the organization’s health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identifyinstances of risky behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating seriousissues as appropriate.

Regulatory and Compliance Management

Carry out a wide range of compliance monitoring activities and give basic advice oncompliance and regulatory requirement Information and Business Advice Resolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providinginformation on policies and/or procedures, referring the most complex issues to others.

Internal Communication

Help others get the most out of internal communications systems by offering support andadvice.

Business Requirements Identification

Support collection of business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews,document analysis, and workflow analysis, to express requirements clearly and succinctly.

Regulation and Registration

Assist with the development of internal communications and work collaboratively withcolleagues to build strong understanding of regulation and registration requirements.

Leadership and Direction

Explain the local action plan, to support team members in their understanding of what needsto be done, and how this relates to the broader business plan and the organization’sstrategy, mission, and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.

Budgeting

Track budgets and report variances to more senior colleagues.

Performance Management

Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improvepersonal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and reviewcompletion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, andcontribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.

Required Skills and Education

Education:

Relevant degree and/or equivalent experience.

Experience:

5+ years of health and safety experience.

Must be willing to work in a manufacturing/plant for environment.

Experience with OSHA standards required.

1+ years of environmental experience preferred.
