Job summary

Pace in the United States is seeking an EHS Specialist to evaluate facilities and processes for hazards and to maintain a safe, healthy work environment. Join the Consulting Services team with training provided to grow a laboratory sciences career.

The role includes environmental responsibilities such as wastewater sampling and regulatory compliance support. Competitive hourly compensation is offered for full-time engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of Environmental Health and Safety experience preferred.
• Safety experience in a manufacturing or pilot plant setting preferred.
• Possess high-level problem‑solving skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be a team player, manage multiple projects, be self-motivated and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Work with client to ensure compliance with facility environmental, health, and safety policies and other applicable regulatory agencies.
• Conduct industrial hygiene sampling, such as noise dosimetry and air monitoring.
• Schedule and conduct respirator fit testing for employees.
• Assist with process hazard analysis and risk analysis assessments.
• Conduct environmental, health, and safety training.
• Coordinate sitewide safety initiatives.
• Audit daily work permits and report findings to supervisors.
• Complete ergonomic assessments of process tasks.
• Other Health and Safety tasks as needed by client.
• Environmental responsibilities may include wastewater sampling and reporting.
• Coordinate environmental sampling events and prepare sampling supplies.

Candidate will evaluate EHS facilities and processes with respect to potential hazards to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Compensation: $22.00 - 28.00 per hour

What you’ll do

• Work with client to ensure compliance with facility environmental, health, and safety policies and other applicable regulatory agencies
• Conduct industrial hygiene sampling, such as noise dosimetry and air monitoring
• Schedule and conduct respirator fit testing for employees
• Assist with process hazard analysis and risk analysis assessments
• Conduct environmental, health, and safety training
• Coordinate sitewide safety initiatives
• Work with business to audit daily work permits and report findings to supervisors
• Complete ergonomic assessments of process tasks
• Other Health and Safety tasks as needed by client

This role may include environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Collect and process wastewater samples and interpret results for reporting
• Coordinate various environmental sampling events and order and prep sampling supplies
• Utilize air emission modeling software to track pollutant outputs
• Assist with regulatory agency permitting processes for environmental compliance
• Create and manage waste stream profiles for the processing of hazardous waste

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline
• 1-2 years professional Environmental Health and Safety experience preferred
• Safety experience in a manufacturing or pilot plant setting preferred
• Possess high-level problem‑solving skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be a team player, have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be self‑motivated and results‑oriented, and be highly productive
