Job summary

Aisin Automotive Casting Tennessee Inc. in Clinton, TN seeks an EHS Specialist to coordinate health, safety, and environmental programs in a manufacturing setting.

You will ensure OSHA compliance, lead accident investigations, and support medical services and workers’ compensation processes. You will maintain ISO 14001 and assist ISO 45001 rollout, manage RCRA and hazardous waste programs, oversee air permits and water analysis, and deliver training on PPE use and hazard prevention to team

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating health, safety, and environmental programs in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and local/state/federal requirements.
• Experience maintaining ISO 14001 certification and supporting ISO 45001 rollout.

Position Summary

The EHS Specialist is responsible for coordinating health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure a safe workplace and full compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations. This role serves as a key liaison for medical services, workers' compensation, and environmental permitting to maintain a high-standard, compliant manufacturing environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Health & Safety Management
• Develops and enforces safety policies, systems, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations.
• Coordinates facility inspections and tours to detect and mitigate accident, fire, and health hazards.
• Leads investigations into accidents and injuries, preparing detailed reports for insurance carriers and legal proceedings.
• Directs Team Member training programs focused on accident prevention, fire protection, and general safety awareness.
• Provides expert advice on the selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Environmental Compliance
• Maintains the facility’s ISO 14001 certification and supports the rollout of ISO 45001.
• Manages RCRA and hazardous waste Management programs.
• Oversees environmental permitting and monitoring, including Air permits, Storm water checks, and Waste water analysis.
• Operates and maintains equipment used to monitor air, land, and water quality.
• Medical & Workers' Compensation
• Supervises company medical services and oversees injury prevention and vocational rehabilitation programs.
• Manages workers' compensation claims, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring with insurance carriers.
• Provides disability management training and education to Team Members and leadership.
