Job description

Company Summary

I'm partnered with a global manufacturing organization that has built a reputation for innovation, operational excellence, and sustainability over more than a century of industrial operations.

With manufacturing facilities and customers spanning multiple continents, the company serves a diverse range of end markets and continues to invest heavily in environmental stewardship, process improvement, and long-term growth.

This opportunity sits within the corporate EHS function and supports manufacturing operations across the Americas. Rather than being responsible for a single facility, this role will partner with site leaders, operations teams, engineering groups, and EHS professionals throughout the region to drive environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

The organization offers the stability and resources of a large global manufacturer while providing employees the opportunity to make a visible impact across multiple facilities and business units.

What you'll be doing:
  • Leading environmental compliance programs across multiple manufacturing sites throughout the Americas
  • Providing technical guidance on environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and compliance obligations
  • Supporting the development and continuous improvement of environmental management systems, including ISO 14001 initiatives
  • Conducting environmental audits, assessments, and compliance reviews while driving corrective actions and risk reduction effortsli>
  • Assisting facilities with permitting activities, regulatory reporting, agency interactions, and environmental incident investigations
  • Supporting sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, recycling, water stewardship, energy management, and greenhouse gas reduction
  • Developing environmental metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to improve visibility and compliance tracking
  • Partnering with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Sustainability, and EHS teams to support capital projects, process changes, and environmental improvements
  • Driving environmental excellence through training, engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives
What they're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of environmental compliance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience supporting multiple facilities or regional operations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, waste management, wastewater, air emissions, and chemical compliance
  • Experience with environmental audits, compliance programs, and management systems
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and environmental management system implementation
  • Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization
  • Environmental certifications such as CHMM, QEP, CPEA, or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are a plus
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus
Why this role stands out:
  • Opportunity to influence environmental strategy across a large manufacturing network rather than a single site
  • High-visibility position with direct exposure to corporate leadership and site operations teams
  • Strong blend of environmental compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement responsibilities
  • Ability to drive meaningful environmental initiatives that impact multiple facilities throughout the Americas
  • Exposure to environmental data management, reporting automation, and digital transformation projects
  • Join a stable, growth-oriented organization with significant investment in environmental excellence and sustainability
  • Opportunity for professional growth and advancement within a global manufacturing environment

This is an ideal opportunity for an environmental professional who enjoys balancing technical compliance expertise with strategic influence. The role offers the chance to make a broad organizational impact while partnering closely with manufacturing operations to drive environmental performance across an entire region.
