Job summary

US Farathane in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to lead the environmental, health, and safety program at our manufacturing facility. Based in Austin, you will oversee OSHA procedures, training, inspections, and safety committee activities to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions while supporting plant environmental and health safety inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Five plus years of experience in an EHS role.
  • Plastic injection molding environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
  • Coordinate the safety program with written programs, training, inspections, and committee activities to meet local and federal requirements.
  • Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Provide support to plant on environmental, health, and safety questions.
  • Report to Management on EMS status, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Lead workers’ compensation claims, including paperwork and communications with injured employees and insurers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

US Farathane is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to oversee EHS activities at our Austin, TX manufacturing facility.

Summary

The EHS Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting the EHS function at the plant level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for following, enforcing, and communicating all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
  • Coordinate the safety program including written programs, training, inspections, and committee activities to ensure that local and federal requirements are met.
  • Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and come up with corrective / preventative actions.
  • Provide support to plant, for environmental, health, and safety questions / concerns.
  • Reports to the Management Team on the status of the environmental management system, including environmental compliance, system audits and corrective action plans.
  • Lead workers compensation claims, including paperwork and communications with injured employees and TPA/insurer.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Five plus years of experience in an EHS role.
  • Previous work experience in a plastic injection molding environment preferred.
