Job summary

Highline Warren is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Site Lead to support and lead EHS initiatives at the facility, ensuring compliance and promoting a strong safety culture. The role requires hands-on leadership in program design, training, audits, and incident investigations.

You will partner with leadership and shop floor teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce injuries, and maintain regulatory compliance while managing environmental records and permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, safety audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Professional certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, CHST, ASP, GSP, or equivalent preferred.

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Site Lead is responsible for supporting and leading environmental, health, and safety initiatives at an assigned facility to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The EHS Site Lead serves as the primary on-site EHS resource for day-to-day operations, partnering with leadership, supervisors, and team members to promote a strong safety culture, reduce injuries and illnesses, and maintain environmental compliance.

This position provides hands‑on leadership for EHS programs, training, audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement efforts while supporting the overall EHS strategy established by Company leadership. This position requires regular interaction with team members in manufacturing and warehouse environments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.

• Serve as the primary EHS resource for the assigned facility and provide daily guidance to associates, supervisors, and managers regarding EHS matters.
• Promote and reinforce a culture where safety is a core value and an integral part of all business activities.
• Support implementation and execution of corporate EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Lead site-level safety initiatives and assist management in achieving EHS performance objectives.
• Coordinate and facilitate safety committee meetings and employee engagement activities.
• Conduct routine facility inspections, safety observations, compliance audits, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage events; identify root causes and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions.
• Design, coordinate, and deliver EHS training programs for new hires and current team members.
• Support managers and supervisors with accident response, workers' compensation administration, and return-to-work activities.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare required reports, documentation, and corrective action tracking.
• Maintain site-specific EHS programs, procedures, permits, and regulatory records.
• Ensure team members and contractors follow company safety requirements and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct contractor safety orientations and monitor contractor compliance while on company property.
• Assist with environmental compliance activities, including inspections, waste management, stormwater monitoring, and permit compliance as applicable.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement that enhance safety performance, productivity, and operational efficiency.
• Support regulatory inspections and internal or external audits.
• Serve as an emergency response resource and participate in incident response activities, including off-hours support when necessary.
• Maintain an open and candid working relationship with leadership regarding EHS concerns and improvement opportunities.
• Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times.
• Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and employment regulations.
• Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned location.
• May be required to travel up to 25% of the time; emergency travel may be required with limited notice.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, safety audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Professional certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, CHST, ASP, GSP, or equivalent are preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• This is a desk‑based job and will require the individual to remain seated for long periods of time and have the manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, phone, copier/scanner, and similar machines.
• While conducting training and interacting with associates, the individual must be able to move about the warehouse, access high and low shelves, and transport products weighing up to 65 pounds, with assistance or motorized equipment as needed. The individual must also be able to communicate effectively in a busy and often noisy warehouse environment.
• Able to walk throughout inside and outside facilities, including stairs, concrete, and uneven ground.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

The environmental conditions described here are representative of those the associate encounters while performing the Essential Functions of the job.

• The individual will work in an office setting in the same room as other individuals. Noise levels are average for an office and include conversation and/or office equipment noise.
• While conducting training and interacting with associates, the individual will also be expected to work in a warehouse environment, which may include being exposed to work in high, precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, dust, and extreme heat or cold. Noise levels are loud.
