Job summary

California Water Service is seeking an EHS Program Manager to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Location options include San Jose, Menlo Park, or Salinas, CA, reporting to the Director of EHS.

The role involves regulatory reporting, permit administration, and coordinating with engineering and operations on projects. Travel ~20% and on-site work required to support continuous improvement and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Geology, Natural Science or related field.
• Three years of increasingly responsible experience in environment, health and safety or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid California Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Recommends, implements, and monitors EHS requirements and programs to ensure 100% compliance.
• Prepares regulatory reports (CEQA, wastewater, air, storm water, hazmat plans).
• Prepares permits for stationary and portable equipment and guides acquisitions on EHS due diligence.
• Liaises with regulatory agencies and represents Cal Water in inspections.
• Develops and conducts EHS training and responds to emergencies.
