California State University San Marcos is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist (EHS Professional II) to help develop and maintain programs that keep faculty, staff, students, and the public safe while protecting the university from losses.

The role covers environmental compliance, food safety and sanitation, occupational safety, research, and laboratory safety initiatives, and provides direct services and consultation to foster an active safety culture on campus.

Responsibilities

• Help develop, implement, train, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs on campus.
• Provide guidance, support, and consultation on hazardous materials, hazardous waste, environmental compliance, food safety, sanitation, industrial hygiene, and life safety.
• Lead environmental health and safety initiatives to promote a safe culture and support research activities in laboratories and hazardous areas.
